苦しい理由は書き出しているうちにわかってきた気がする。それが正しければ今はどん底ではなくて、もっと下がある。

・週に一度、半日の課外活動は、数回休んだことを除いて今年も続けることができた。子どもに限ってというよりも、苦しんでいる家庭は多い。届いていることは喜ばしいことであるし、今後も続けていきたいが、支援の拡大は自身の稼働の増加くらいしか術がなく、今の"ライスワーク"を続けているうちは難しい。余計な団体からの勧誘に、「ああ、どこへいっても結局こういったことがあるのか。善意じゃないんだよなあ。皆、自分のペースに巻き込みたいのだなあ。」と落胆したり、拡大のために加入する人もいるのだろうなと思ったり。

・ひとりあそびへの回帰は、目標にしていたとおりの方向へ、脳がやっと思い出しつつある。時間の総量は少ないけれど、好きなことに集中するときの姿勢は取り戻しつつある。誰に見せるでもない楽しいだけの時間をつくることができた。狂気を。ガラパゴスを。こだわりを。

・視野がまだ広がってしまっている。これがなかなか解決しない。なぜだろうね。情報を入れすぎなのかな。優先順位をつけるのはうまくいかないし、たくさんのことをうまくやれる人間ではないし、視野に入れたら終わりなのだけど。余計なことに気をつかって、生活を、見栄えを、取り繕って、どれだけの時間を無駄にしているか。やりたくないやらなくていいことに何年も取り憑かれている。

・聴いた音楽は例年どおり、2ヶ月かけて整理した（Favorite Music 2023 (242作品) - SHUMAMB_CLTR）。今になって俯瞰して数を見ると、第一級と感じるドローンが今年は少なくて、代わりに、いわゆるワールドに分類される作品の中におもしろいものが増えたみたい。アンビエントはドラマチックやエモーショナルに寄ってきているものが多くて、あとは暗いものも多くて、私が好きな淡々と長く続く暗くないドローンは数としては減った印象。トレンドが変わった？アンビエントが流行っているとは言わないが、空気が少し変わった？

・つくるほうは、2022年から録りためていた音を重ねに重ねて、2023年の5月にNodate DXとして形にできた。今回もオーディオ入力のみで、原始的なつくり方で完結させた。野点というトラックには(日常というよりは音楽に対する切実な)想いが実はこもっていて、その想いがうまく音にのったと感じている。好きなトラックとなった。今でも自分でよく聴く。TwitterやLINE、Instagramなどでいただいたコメントも嬉しく(本当に嬉しく)、大切に記録している。敬愛する方々が気に入ってくださって本当に嬉しい。

・一年の中で唯一の被害という言い方をしてしまってよいのか、それでは少し過激に聞こえるけれど、過去のバンド活動に関連して嫌なことがあった。過去の怒りのせいでナーバスになっている事柄であり、関係者への譲歩、尊重、配慮や自身のフラッシュバック回避のために6年間一度も言及してこなかったのだけれど、「何かやましいことがあって黙っているのでは。」と2023年の今になって直接連絡をうけ、途方に暮れた。説明しないと伝わらないという主張など当たり前にわかっていて、そのうえでこの選択をしているのに。しかし、年月も経ったことで自分自身は回復というか、取り乱しにくくなっていることも今回感じた。現に、落ち着いてからは過去に自分が演奏していた頃のアルバム(Replicationと1st demo)を聴く気持ちになった。通しで聴くと、やはり演奏そのものはものすごく下手で、しかし、ドラムのコンポジションとしてはやはり好きで、これだけポリリズムを意識してドラムのパートをつくり込んで真正面からマスロックをしていた人もいないのでは(別ジャンルにはもちろんいらっしゃる)と自画自賛するまでに至った。演奏したい気持ちは相変わらずゼロ。

・ライブは5つだけ観た。Shinichi Atobeの渋谷WWWでのワンマンと、MODEのBeatrice Dillonの日と、三茶の貸しスペースでのLisa Lerkenfeldtと、落合soupでのtokinogake nightと、POLARISでのKeiji Haino、Oren Ambarchi、Crys Coleと。好きなミュージシャンでも環境や巡り合わせで惜しかったと感じることが多かったけれど、Beatrice Dillonはあまりにライブがうまくて、本当に感動した。

・ジムオルークが「ジム・オルークが石橋英子と語る、音楽を取り巻く「少し変」なこと。音楽体験を拡張する環境と文脈の話」で言っていたことに何度も何度も頷いた。

・コバヤシトシマサさんの「どうして自由なだけでは十分でないのだろう」が好きだった。

・SNSで飛び交う音楽の話は、今年もよくわからなかった。大切だと感じるポイントが私はずれているみたい。

・仕事では、2023年の10月から、ばかでかい研究プロジェクトの末端に管理者兼技術者として参画した。一つ前のプロジェクトでは2022年の夏頃から2023年の9月までずっと夜中も土日も関係なく働いてきて、体力的に本当につらくて、そんな中でなんとかサービスインまで持っていけた達成感と、反省と、バーンアウトと、という中で10月からがらっと趣が変わった。稼働しているシステムや重要なインフラを扱うことがなくなったから緊急性の高いトラブルがなくて楽になった一方で、研究という性質上、対峙する面々がまるっきり変わったから姿勢を変えないとならなかったり、セキュリティの知見があまりに不足しているから今までで一番勉強していたり、一年生状態。貢献できていないがそう言っていられない立場。2024年、真剣にやろうね。

・格差を如実に感じるようになった。恩恵をうけている身として、最大限に活かしたうえで10年越しで還元していけるよう、形をつくっていきたい。しかし、冷たさは目立つ。働いて自立していればどんな仕事であっても偉いみたいなの、何なんだろうね。コントラスト自体は以前からもちろんあるのだけど、このずれている感じにううっとくることが最近は多くて。

・数年間、集中力の低下は段階的に感じていたけれど、きっかけを得て生活を少し変え、11月だが12月ごろにやっとフォグっぽいものが消えた。すごく嬉しいこと。一方で、体が一気に弱くなった。けれど、疲れやすいだとか、外に出ていた次の日に丸一日寝込んでしまう程度で、幸い、持病のpots以外は大きな不調はないから。さすがに家から出なさすぎということよね。

・数名の才能ある方々に惹かれた年だった。優秀で、素敵で、けれど、結局皆苦しんでいるのだよなあ。苦しみがあって、優秀にならざるを得なかったのかもしれないけれど。平等というよりはどうか公平であってほしいというか、しかし、信念を持ってがんばっている方々は、個人に頼ることには抵抗があるよなあ。尊重も優しさもあるし、そりゃそうだよなあ。損失。

・人との関わりについては毎年うまく振り返れないけれど、変わらずだろうか。あそびに連れ出してくれる友人、LINEに付き合ってくれる友人に本当に感謝している。よい意味での多少強引な親切さにいつも救われている。一方で、新しい関係は自分からはつくれず。そういった新しい関係を昨年までは求めている感覚がなかったけれど、今年は素晴らしい方を遠くから拝見していたりと刺激があって仲良くなりたい方がいたからこそ、寂しさがあるのだと思う。新鮮な気持ち。仲良くなりたい人と仲良くなるための準備が、なんて言っていないで、自分こそもう少し人に頼ったり甘えたりする気持ちでぶつかっていけばいいと思いながらも、思い切れず。尊重と、距離感と。難しい。漠然とした寂しさこそ感じない人間であるし、いわゆるところの色恋もさっぱりわからない人間だけれど、尊敬する方や敬愛する方が具体的に浮かび上がっているときは考えてしまう。これはちょうど今(意外と、結構、)大きな苦しみであるのかもしれない。

・読みたい本をあまり読めなかった。読んだのは5冊のみ。箭内匡「イメージの人類学」、W.アラジンマシュー「大きな耳―音の悦楽、音楽の冒険」、星野太「崇高のリミナリティ」、アルフォンソリンギス「汝の敵を愛せ:Dangerous Emotions」、篠原雅武「複数性のエコロジー人間ならざるものの環境哲学」。

・仕事に振りすぎて、読む本の量も書く日記の量も減ってしまって、今回のこの文だけを見ても酷いね。一昨年や昨年はまだもう少し書けていたよ。

・戦争については友人何名かと会話した。お世話になった方がいるミャンマーをやはり気にしてしまうのだけど、自分にできることは殆どないなんて言い訳をしながら暮らし続けている。パレスチナの支援をどうにかできないかと日々議論されている方々をTwitterで拝見していると、本当に言い訳だったのだと感じる。続けていることはそれはそれで必要な国内への支援であり、そうなると何を優先するかであるけれど、そもそも平気でサラリーマンしているのがおかしいのよね。そこを早く思い切れよという話であって、しかし、そのために8.5年後に照準を合わせて準備しているわけだから、と堂々めぐりしている。でも、今まさに人が殺されていっているのにね。

・「先は長い、深い、言葉にならないくらい」という、この言葉が最も長く強く頭の中にあった年だった。やることは無限にあって、時間は限られているはずなのだけど、そうは感じられずに生きている。精力的にがんばる人を見るたびに、「スタートラインに立つためだけにあと8.5年かけようとしている自分の下手さは何なのだ。」と悔しさが込み上げてくる。けれど、自分にとってはこれが最も強く光を感じられる道だから。このままがんばる。

・あとは、2022年に亡くなった祖父の影響が長く響いている。頻繁に顔を見ていたわけではないけれど、一番大きな存在だったから。

・方向性は2023年の目標のままで大丈夫。

・今までは絶対にこんなことを言わなかったけれど、迷ったら行動するほうをとろうね。今年は考えすぎずに行動先行で。物理的に身体を動かす意味でも。

・人との関わりは、2023年の反省を活かしたいけれど、プランがなく。一番の悩みどころね。どうしようかしら。

・日々聴いた音楽の投稿をBlueskyへ移行したいのだけど、iPhoneの共有メニューに現れずひと手間かかるのが今はストレスだから、スクリプトを拵えてからにする。

・人に、自分に、水やりを。

・見栄を張らず、かといって馬鹿なふりもせず。

・今年も、第一にガラパゴス。

しかし、昨年からは言葉にならず、叫ぶことに逃げている。考えることから逃げている。苦労を終えることのできる時期までの計算ができるようになり、しかし、まだまだあと8~9年ほどあり、体力やバイタリティは年々落ちてきており、そういったなかで低燃費のつまらない運転をし続けてしまったのがこの2年間。無意識にではなくて、「30代の10年間は腹括るか。我慢の期間。」だなんて真剣に考え続けていた(いる)。そして、そういった選択しかできないほどぎりぎりで生きていることも嘘ではない。投げやりになってそういった選択をしたわけではなくて、過去の数ある経験でわかった自分自身の特性を鑑みてもこれがサバイブするための最適の術であると今でも信じている。年々生きやすく幸せになってきていても毎日絶対に死にたくなることが中学生の頃から全く変わらない中で、8~9年後のゴールまでの道がやっと見えたのだから、息を止めて最短距離で向かおうとするのは自然なこと。

しかし(また、しかし？)、完全な空白をつくってしまっては全く違う人間になってしまう、と感じ始めたのがここ数ヶ月。「つまらないゴールに向かって進むことにいったん集中しよう。」と舵を切ってしまったことで、この場所に書く言葉の数も熱量も明らかに弱くなってしまい、"自分自身で納得できていた数少ない自分" はどこにもいなくなってしまったかのような。それが1~2年であれば許容していいのかもしれないけれど、8~9年経って40歳になったときにもう蘇ってはこない気がして。

考えて言葉として残す体力や余裕がなかったのは嘘じゃない。今も余裕がないと感じている。それは10年後のためであり、大方針は自分に合っていると考えている。けれど、それでも、完全に止めてはいけないものがあるということ。

まだ死んでいないから大丈夫。皆でつくったもののうち、あれを、あれだけを思い出せば、まだできるかもしれないではなくて本当にできていたことがはっきりとわかるから、だから大丈夫。大嫌いなプロレスなんかせずにまだボクシングを。
