簡単に振り返る。今は以前のようには文章にならず、推敲もできず、キーワードの羅列になるところもある。

 

2025

・ボランティアがついに途絶えた。長いこと、どれだけ忙しくてもほとんど休まずに土曜午前をその時間にしてきたのだけど。ぱたりと。

・妻に救われた。日々救われている。本当にすごい人で、長年抱えてきたような、解決を考えていなかった悩みまで、まとめて取り払ってくれた。色鮮やかさと、地に足のついた倫理観と、どちらも持ち合わせている。当たり前のように人に優しくできて、変な見栄を張らず自分はこうであるとも言えて、本当にすごい。魅力のある人。感謝している。

・2024年に大田区に引っ越したことをきっかけに、区内に偶然住んでいた小学校の同級生である妻が声をかけてくれて、2025年の初めに数年ぶりに会い、5月にはプロポーズを受けてくれて、6~7月にはご家族にお会いし、8月に入籍、11月から同居。時系列で記すと詰まっている。それまで、結婚を全く考えずに暮らしていたけれど、理屈を超えてくる人だったから。心を開いて降りてきてくれてからは迷いがなかった。

・引っ越した。たいへんほどよい物件が見つかり、快適。2024年末に引っ越したばかりの物件が気に入っており一人で長く住むつもりで環境を整えていた最中だったから予定外ではあったけれど、今は満足。仕事を休んでいるタイミングと重なったから、引っ越してからは主夫のような生活。料理の習慣もついた。

・夢中なもの以外の娯楽、人との交流、儀式的なもの、これらが増えた。それなりに規則正しく暮らすと、仕事をしていなくても毎日は簡単に過ぎていく。人間らしい生活は、ものづくりやオタク的な生活との相性は悪い。寝食を忘れて20時間何かに没頭するだとか一ヶ月間土日を完全に空けておくといった時間の使い方は自然としなくなる。もう暫く経つと、これを惜しく感じてくることがあるかもしれない。ずっと言い続けているように、没頭している時間こそが人生で最も大切な時間だから。

・音楽は納得いくものをつくれなかった。GWに集中して作業して2つのトラックをつくったけれど、繰り返し聴いて更新していってもどうもしっくりこなかったから没にした。以前つくった野点というトラックが心から気に入っていることもあって、それにとらわれているのだと思う。一人、無期限で待ってくれている方がいるから、どこかのタイミングで再チャレンジしたい。自由につくってと言ってくださっているから、つくりたいものをつくる。

・聴くほうは、例年どおりの聴き方。聴いた音楽をリスト（聴いた作品_2025年リリース）に週次で追加していきながら、いつものように11月あたりから絞り始め、最終的には222作品まで絞った（Favorite Music 2025）。今年も好きな音楽家や好きなレーベルを聴くのみで、新たな発見は少なかった。9番目にあげたClaire M Singerの『Gleann Ciùin』が大好きなドローンで、最もよく聴いている。よいドローン。

・観たライブはだいぶ少なめ。5月のMODEでCarl Stone先生を観て、7月にJan Jelinekを観に行って、11月にはMark Fellを観に行った。

・大磯のSALOで聴講した柳沢英輔さんのフィールドレコーディング講座がよかった。

・SNS上での様々な欲求から ”完全に” 解放された気がする。Twitterを見なくなって2年が経った。Blueskyは居心地について日頃思いを馳せることがないから、それは快適であるということなのだと思う。

・嫌なコミュニティや嫌な個人は未だに気になるときがある。 ”音楽の利用” が大嫌いなのもあって、その類への忌避感が今も強い。バンドをやめたときも広く捉えればそういった理由であるし、この年明けにもそこそこ名が通ってるらしい音楽評論家さんとやらから最低なDMを受け取って嫌な気持ちになった。数と力の時代。下品さを隠さない時代。音楽を経済的に利用しようとする人はまだかわいくて、本当に厄介なのは自分の居場所をつくるために音楽を利用する人。定期的に現れる。いなくていい。

・本はスローペースに読んだ（読んだ本）。読みにくかったラズの『価値があるとはどのようなことか』をがんばって読み切ってみてよかった。回避性パーソナリティ障害に関する本『生きるのが面倒くさい人』や、再読したT・S・エリオットの『文化の定義のための覚書』もよかった。『協働と共生のネットワーク インドネシア現代美術の民俗誌』なんかも。

・YouTubeをラジオ的に聴くことが多くなった。ファストでない長尺のゆるめの動画を毎日のようにだらだらと。耳は一つだから、音楽とYouTubeで時間を奪い合っている。

・相変わらず燃費がものすごく悪い。身体的な体力も、社交体力も。たくさん寝て、調子のいいときにだけ発動する超集中状態でなんとか成果が出て。普段は口数も少なく、周囲からはぼーっとして見えているだろう。燃費の悪さはずっと悩みの中心にあること。どれくらい集中できるか計算して計画したり、一度入浴してリフレッシュしたり、そういった工夫ばかりを日々考えて暮らすようになっている。集中できない。一日の経過の中で脳に老廃物が着実に溜まっていくこの感覚。私は飛び道具としてしか機能しなくなっている。安定して及第点を出し続けられる人への尊敬や感謝がずっとある。とはいえ、私はできないことは人一倍できない人間であると重々理解したから、思い入れのない苦手なことを平均点にまで引き上げようとする努力はできるかぎりやめていく。好きなこと、格好つけたいこと、どうしてもやらないとならないこと、これらに注力。

・転職した。1月から働き始める。転職については散々文書化して振り返りながら進めたからここで具体的に書かないけれど、いい転職になると思う。準備して臨んだことと、妻にも支えられたこととで、順調に進んだ。技術専門職として採用いただけて、そのポジションで通信に携わり続けられることが嬉しい。前職では2年間くらい同じ種類のもやもやが続いており、様々なルートで根回しや主張を続けたのだけど、微妙な力関係や会社の大きな動きもあって願いが叶わなかった。とはいえ、貴重な賞をいただいたり、可能なかぎりの計らいをいただいて感謝している。入社から10年間断続的にお世話になってきた特定の何名かには頭が上がらない。が、その頃とはもう何もかもが違ってしまったから仕方がない。そして、その願いが叶っていたとしても届かないほどの環境に移ることができそうだから、よかったこととする。不満はどこにいてもすぐに出てくると思うけれど、それはそれ。

・途絶えていた家族との連絡を再開した。

・台湾旅行が楽しかった。台北ビエンナーレよかった。

・歯の治療に時間と気力をとられた。

・お金を少し使いすぎた。そういう年と決めたからよい。

・素敵で才能のある方々が、今年も苦しんでいた。2年前のメモに残っている「数名の才能ある方々に惹かれた年だった。優秀で、素敵で、けれど、結局皆苦しんでいるのだよなあ。苦しみがあって、優秀にならざるを得なかったのかもしれないけれど。平等というよりはどうか公平であってほしいというか、しかし、信念を持ってがんばっている方々は、個人に頼ることには抵抗があるよなあ。尊重も優しさもあるし、そりゃそうだよなあ。損失。」が、そのまま続いている。

・力の時代であることが隠されなくなってきた。インターネットの中も外も。

 

2026

・世界の安寧を願う。

・妻の健康と幸せを願う。

・尊敬する方々を思い出しながら暮らしていきたい。

・能力を拡張しようと努力するのは、やると決めたものだけ。何でもかんでも実力以上にがんばろうと見栄を張っていたらそれで人生終わってしまうよ。

・教えてもらったように、”私はこうなのだ” と少し正直になっていいのかもしれない。補い合えばいい。

・技術者としての生き残り。ドメイン知識。

・自分自身への水やりも。

・今年も第一に、ガラパゴス。

「自国を愛する」とは本来、自国の未熟さや問題点を認め、より良くしようとする姿勢を伴うべきです。しかし、現在の一部の言説では、「愛国＝批判の拒否」「愛国＝他国への侮蔑」という倒錯したロジックが支配的になっているように感じます。
それは「自国に誇りを持てない状態を直視したくない」という不安の裏返しかもしれません。

◆ だからこそ

あなたのように「もう少し格好をつけたい」「遠い人にこそ誠実でありたい」と思う感性は、実は文化的にも政治的にも非常に重要です。それは「恥を知る」からこそ、「誇りを守れる」態度とも言えます。

    　その表現手段として軍事力が使われやすくなる。

身体の具合が安定せず以前よりも集中できる時間が短いことと、仕事や組織に関する大きな不満が昨年からいくつもあることと、目の前の具体的な業務に対してももやもやが解決されないこと、そして、この人のためにがんばろうという動機になり得る上長や同僚ももう周囲にはいなくなってしまったこと。そんな状況において、意義が薄く感じるわりに難易度だけは高い業務をこの限られた集中力でやりきる、ということが辛く苦しくなってきている。ここに残留する理由はもう(人、組織、仕事内容、お金、ワークスタイルのうち)ワークスタイルくらいしか残っていない。


一方、仕事の外では人に救われている。

5年くらいの間、人との深い付き合いをやんわりと避けてふらふらし続けてきて、32歳になり、不満はなく、これからもひとりだろうと考えてきて。それに、仕事で精神が不安定になることは多くても色恋でどうこうなる性格ではなかったのだけど。それなのに今は、小学生の頃からの同級生の深くて大きな優しさにふれ、支えられ、元気をもらっている。何かができる私ではなく何でもない私をみてくれているような、そんな優しさに救われている。思い出したり取り戻したりする感覚ではなく、新しい感情を覚えていっている。この感覚も、相手のことも、大切にしたい。本当にありがたい。

よかった。まだどこかで疑ってしまっているけれど、昨日までは今日この日に手術か余命宣告かどちらかはされるのだろうと思い込んでいたところから、今は、医者がはっきり言うのだからまず大丈夫なのだろうと9割5分くらい思えている。プロの言葉は信じる。

 

繊細なふりをしているだけなつもりでいたけれど、本当に繊細なのかもしれないと初めて考えた。万事に繊細というよりも、自分にかかるストレスに弱いと表現したほうがよいだろうか。

 

この一ヶ月ほど、喉と胸がおかしくて、毎日同じように痛い。今も痛い。高熱や頭痛や眩暈は幼少期からのことでもう慣れきっているのだけれど、首から下は常に健康であったし、風邪と感覚が違うし、症状がひかないし、食道がんの症状と酷似しているし、咽頭炎ならこんなに続かないとのことだし、特にこの二週間くらいは生きた心地がしていない。

 

毎日死にたいと言っていたはずが、こうなるとがらっと気持ちが変わった。楽になれてよかったと思う瞬間も時折あったから複雑なものではあるけれど、ベースには生きたい気持ちがあるのだと感じた。

 

人生で二度目だろうか。大袈裟な言葉を今使えると感じていて、少し人生観が変わった。何を大切に感じているかを鮮明に視ることができ、そして、無念さを感じた。私がやりたいことは全て今の行動の延長線上にあり、1~2年で結果が出るようなものはなかった。何年も続けてきてのこれだから、もう少し早く始めておけば〜といった後悔もなく、純粋な無念さだけがあった。時間軸の長い希望ばかりだから、急いであれやらなきゃという気持ちはいくら考えても浮かんでこなかった。あと、自分の行動とは別で、未来をもう少し見たいという感覚も強いのだとわかった。自分ごとになって初めてわかる感覚ばかりだった。

 

有名な消化器内科から耳鼻咽喉科、大病院まで、 様々な重大な可能性を指摘されながら紹介続きでぐるぐるした結果、最終的にはシンプルな診断だった。食道炎か何かしらのきっかけはあって、今の形跡からそのきっかけの特定は難しいけれどそのまま咽喉頭異常感症になってしまったんだねとのことだった。

三度も鼻からファイバースコープを入れて、なぜ三度目で何もないという結果になるのか素人にはわからないけれど、平常心ではなかったからその質問はせず帰ってきてしまった。あなたにとっては初めての症状だから非常に不安だろうけれど医者にとっては喉はこういうケースのほうが多いからね、との言葉だけ覚えている。それはわかったけれど、同じような検査を受けながら相当不安を煽る言葉を聞かされた一回目と二回目は何だったのだろう。

 

説明を読む限り、典型的な "病は気から" である。違和感を気にしているうちは治らない気がするし、どうやって忘れればいいのかわからないから、他の方の例のように暫く続くのかな。診断を信じて普通に生活を送るよりない。喉はいがいがするし食べ物が通りにくいし筋肉痛のようでもあるし、胸もじーんとしたりぴりぴりしたりする。

 

今日は、午前中にその診断を受けて、そのまま久しぶりに蔦屋にいった。家から10分もかからないのに久しぶり。

ユートピアの実現が勝利ではないこと、 勝利には長い時間がかかること、希望とは楽観主義でも理想主義でもないこと、暗闇とは恐ろしいものではなく不可知性を意味していること、望む100%の勝利が難しいとわかっていても行動すればいいこと、全員を救えないから意味がないのではなく部分的にでも助けられれば勝利であること、目的の達成まで喜ぶのを慎むのでなく小さな一つ一つを勝利と捉えて喜べばいいこと、ピューリタン的ともいえる左翼のように物事を非難することに愉楽を覚えたりそれを阻まれたことに陰気な優越感を覚えてアイデンティティの強化が主眼となってしまうのではなく着実に行動して成果を得ていけばいいこと、徳は存在するものではなく時に努力と忠実さから生まれること、など、今確かめたかった言葉をたくさん受け取った。勇気をもらった。

 

昨日まで無念さを感じながら考えていたことと合わさって、これからどんな順序で何をしていきたいかが改めて整理できた。目的の達成のために捨ててきたいくつかの所謂社会通念上の幸せ、その選択は私にとっては間違っていなかったようで、死ぬかもと思ったときにも後悔はなかった。あの人には挨拶に行きたいなとか、特定の方々への感謝はあって、けれどもこれまでの人付き合いの仕方自体に後悔はなかった。

 

今回のこと、よかったんだと思う。思うよりない。生かされた。症状がある間は疑う気持ちをゼロにはできない気がして、まだほわほわしているけれど。大騒ぎしてしまい失礼いたしました。

 

喉は痛いが身体は動く。たぶん大丈夫。たぶん。
